Oct. 29th: Turning a Learning Experience Into a Job – Maryfrancis (“Frannie”)

October is here, and once again we are celebrating National Disability Employment Awareness Month (#NDEAM). Reflecting a commitment to a robust and competitive American labor force, the 2019 National Disability Employment Awareness Month (NDEAM) theme is “The Right Talent, Right Now.” Observed each October, NDEAM celebrates the contributions of workers with disabilities and educates about the value of a workforce inclusive of their skills and talents.T

Please help us in highlighting the accomplishments of all people with disabilities who are employed or have their own business by submitting success stories.  We had a great response last year, and are now in search of more great stories as well as updates!

Success stories can be submitted through the following link: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/666Z55P.

Maryfrancis or “Frannie” is a merchandise associate at Marshall’s Home Good store. She started working at Marshall’s as part of an internship program in high school. Upon graduation, Marshall’s offered her a position. Frannie has been working there ever since.

Frannie is responsible for unboxing and organizing the shipments of clothes the store receives. She likes working with clothes because she gets to learn about merchandise and the procedures that go along with doing so. She also enjoys viewing the different styles and fashions of clothing!

Frannie  is a hard worker and enjoys the work she does. In past months, her outstanding work ethic has helped Frannie receive the “Employee of the Month”. She continually strives to be the best worker she can be!
